Stationsplein
Holleman designed a temporary square in Zaandam just beside the train station. The square served as an interim solution during the period when city centre developments were halted due to the economic crisis of 2008/2009. Holleman's design for Stationsplein included a green zone with seating areas for relaxation, as well as a more active zone for play and sports.
The square provided a much-needed open space for residents and visitors to enjoy, and its design blended nicely with the surrounding urban landscape. Despite being a temporary solution, Stationsplein was well-received and used by the local community.
